Give each island its own job in the itinerary
Paros supports a holiday that mixes towns, inland villages and different coasts. Antiparos can suit a slower stay centred on Hora, with walking to nearby places and a separate plan for the cave or outings toward the south. Those are different uses for a rental, even when both islands appear in one trip.
List the days you want to explore beyond each base. If the Antiparos stage is mostly a town stay, compare bringing a vehicle for the entire stage with arranging transport only for specific outings. A short ferry connection does not make the same car automatically the most useful option.
One rental needs a confirmed crossing
Tell the Paros operator that you intend to take the vehicle to Antiparos. Ask for written permission covering the crossing, destination use, any charge and the return location. Some directory operators list both islands, but that describes coverage rather than permission for a particular car.
Then check the current ferry arrangements for the vehicle type and sailing you intend to use. Do not confuse a foot-passenger journey with a vehicle crossing, and do not assume the ticket includes the rental permission. Keep those two confirmations separate.
Separate rentals change the luggage plan
If you return the Paros car before crossing, decide how you will get from the return point to the ferry with luggage. On Antiparos, confirm the journey from arrival to your accommodation and the location of any later vehicle collection. This can work comfortably when those steps are arranged, but they belong in the cost and convenience comparison.
A local rental for a few Antiparos days can let you choose a smaller or different vehicle once the suitcases are settled. Compare the final rental total and any transfers, rather than only comparing daily rates.
Return logistics can decide the answer
Ask whether the return is on the original island, whether a different-island return is actually available, and what charges or restrictions apply. A trip ending with a flight from Paros needs a realistic plan for the final crossing and vehicle handover.
Keep enough time for a changed sailing and ask how the operator handles an extra rental day. If the one-car plan depends on an exact ferry time, compare it with returning earlier and completing the last stage by an arranged transfer.
Choose the plan that covers your real trip
One rental can reduce vehicle handovers and keep luggage in the same car when the crossing is approved. Separate rentals can reduce parked days and let each island stage have a different transport plan. Neither arrangement is best for every visit.
Send the two-island itinerary to the operator, including collection, crossing and final departure details. Decide after you have written answers about permission, cost and return. The useful plan is the one you can follow comfortably from the first arrival to the final handover.
